CAMPING FAQs
Below are some answers to frequently asked questions about camping. If you have more questions, please contact us.
What facilities are available?
Glenlock Campsite is a picturesque campsite on the banks of the River Murray. There are (hot) showers and toilets and there is ample running water. There is a large hall and other sheltered areas for us to hold sessions in. At this time of the year we are anticipating warm days, cooler nights, swimming for those who are up for it, bonfires, friendship and lots of discussion around the Word of God.
What will the program be like?
The program will be much the same as our previous camps. The camp will continue to be discussion group based with complementary workshops and other surprise sessions. As always, it is important that attendees complete their study prior to the camp.
Do we need to cook our own food?
No, all meals will be catered for us.
What do we need to pack for bedding?
South Australian attendees will need to supply their own single mattress. This could be a swag mattress, an inflatable mattress or a foam mattress - whatever you prefer. Interstate attendees will be provided with a mattress. All attendees will need to bring their own pillow and bedding. It is likely to be cold at night so please make sure you bring warm blankets.
Do we need to bring our own tents/swags?
No, in order to maintain consistency with accommodation, all tents will be provided for you. We will be able to provide caravans for special circumstances (eg. attendees with a young child). Please contact us if you have a special request.
How do we get our mattress/other camping gear to Glenlock?
We will have designated drop off locations in the north and south of Adelaide for mattresses and any other large camping supplies to be dropped off at before the camp. These will be transported for you up to Glenlock, and brought back after the camp for you to collect. Hopefully this will free up space in cars and allow people to car pool more easily.
Is there power?
There are limited power plugs, so please don't bring unnecessary appliances.
Travelling to/from Adelaide
If you would like us to arrange transport for you, please make sure you arrive in Adelaide before 5.15pm on Wednesday 24th April. When booking a return flight, please ensure your departure time is after 6pm on Sunday 28th April.
If you are unable to arrive/depart within the recommended time frames, please bear in mind that Glenlock campsite is approximately two hours from Adelaide Airport in arranging your own transport to and from the camp. Unfortunately we will only be able to facilitate transport within the recommended arrival/departure times.
We will be in contact with you closer to the time to gather more travel information.
